Make Your Own Organic Sugar Scrub For Face & Body

Exfoliating is very important to rejuvenate your skin.  It eliminates dead skin cells and exposes a new and fresh layer of the epidermis. There are several organic sugar scrubs for face and body in the market but you can easily make one at home. It’ll literally cost you close to nothing and will do your skin a lot of good.

I will share with you some of my favorite recipes that will leave your skin soft, youthful and glowing.  Once you get the hang of it, you could actually create different variations depending on your preference of oil or fragrance. Just keep in mind that too much of anything can have a negative effect. So, make sure you exfoliate once every week or two and not on a daily basis.

One ingredient I add to every sugar scrub as you will notice is honey.  Honey detoxifies, nourishes and replenishes skin and can be used as a mask on its own. I’m a huge fan.

without further ado, here are my three favorite sugar scrub recipes:

The components of this scrub are rich in anti-aging elements that will keep your skin clear, youthful, and plump.

1/2 cup of organic coarse sugar

1/2 cup of Argan oil

1 tbsp. of vitamin E oil

1 tbsp. of organic honey

The coconut oil and lemon zest have detoxifying properties that will leave your skin clear, soft, and glowing.

1/2 cup of organic coarse sugar

1/2 cup of organic coconut oil

1 tbsp. of lemon zest

1 tbsp of organic honey

Choose the recipe you’d like to try. For face and hands: Mix the ingredients together and gently scrub the face, neck and hands for a couple minutes. Rinse with warm water and pat dry. Your skin will be fresh, hydrated and super soft.

For full body scrub. Please be careful in the bath as these recipes contain oil and you don’t want to slip. I usually use a small stool I sit on while I scrub my body for few minutes. Then I wash the floor of bath or shower with soap to get rid of the oil. Finally, I use a gentle body wash. I use full body scrub once every two weeks for a new, soft and hydrated skin.

Bonus: Because these scrubs include organic oils, they will lock moisture in and there would be no need to apply a moisturizer after you wash the scrub off.
